Our overclock garnered 13% more performance in Battlefield 3, boosting the average frame rate from 68fps to 77fps and allowing the Titan to overtake the GTX 660 Ti SLI as well as the HD 7870 Crossfire cards. The 13% improvement in frames per second is similar to the 11% improvement in frame time going from 17.5ms to 15.6ms, making the GTX Titan the fastest GPU tested. When testing Crysis 3 we saw a 15% improvement in frame rate, taking the Titan to 35....

Compared to a standard HD 7970, Gigabyte’s SOC offering was 19% faster at 2560x1600 while it was also 14% faster than the GHz Edition card. Our 1200MHz core overclock only boosted performance by another 2%, while 1260MHz was 6% faster, likely due to the massive increase in GDDR5 frequency. Now, Google has expanded its list to include images of ID docs, confidential login credentials, and personal contact info (physical addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses). Additionally, Google will remove non-consensual explicit or intimate personal images, Deepfakes, images of minors, and doxxing content, which requires explicit or implicit threats or explicit or implicit calls to action for others to harm or harass....

In GPU-limited workloads such as 3D gaming, the Pixel XL performs essentially the same as other Snapdragon 820 devices with 1440p displays. As the Adreno 530 GPU is clocked the same here as with other devices, I wasn’t expecting any meaningful differences, and the benchmark results show this. Again, the Pixel XL holds a significant performance advantage here over the Nexus 6P, to the tune of around 87%. The Pixel XL throttles its SoC in a similar way to other Snapdragon 820 devices....

A Twitter user leaked a few slides from Intel’s upcoming presentation at the IEEE VLSI Symposium 2022 before deleting them a few hours later. The slides detail the new Intel 4 process node and contain a die shot of an unreleased Meteor Lake-P processor. The Core i7-6700K was benchmarked with DDR4-2133 memory installed while all Haswell chips were paired with DDR3-2400 memory. The high-speed DDR3 dual-channel memory allowed the Core i7-4790K to achieve a bandwidth of 30GB/s while the Core i7-6700K was limited to just 26.4GB/s. Despite operating at similar clock speeds, the Core i7-6700K has a distinct advantage over the 4790K when comparing L2 and L3 cache performance. Here the 6700K was 26% faster when comparing L2 performance and 36% faster when comparing L3 cache performance....

As found previously when running the in-built WinRAR performance test, this program can’t seem to handle more than four cores and as a result the Core i7 980X Extreme Edition performs very much like the Core i7 975 EE processor. Photoshop CS4 also shows no real advantage for the six-core processor. In both the HardwareHeaven and Retouchartists tests Intel’s Core i7 980X Extreme Edition and 975 EE saw similar performance....

Compared to the H67, there are quite a few features missing – some more important than others. For example, the H61 chipset only supports two DIMM slots, 10 USB 2.0 ports, six PCI Express 2.0 lanes (2.5GT/s) and four SATA 3Gb/s ports. SATA 6Gb/s support is likely the most significant feature missing, and we should note that the H61 doesn’t have any CPU or GPU performance tuning options....
