Although the Athlon II X2 255 gave the AMD 890GX chipset a significant advantage in Far Cry 2, the AMD E-350 was still 32% faster than the Atom 330/Nvidia Ion. When testing with Company of Heroes at 1024x768 using low quality settings we found the GPU performance of the AMD E-350 to be severely limited by the CPU. Nonetheless, the AMD E-350 was 61% faster than the Atom 330/Nvidia Ion. Even at 1024x768, StarCraft II is still very CPU dependent and that limited the AMD E-350’s performance. However, with an average of 42.5fps the AMD E-350 was 62% quicker than the Atom 330/Nvidia Ion. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 makes heavy use of both CPU and GPU power. As a result, the AMD E-350 was 51% faster than the Atom 330/Nvidia Ion. Battlefield Bad Company 2 also relies heavily on both CPU and GPU performance, but this time the Atom 330/Nvidia Ion combo outperformed the AMD E-350 by an unexpected 31% margin.
