When testing with BioShock Infinite we found that the R9 295X2 was able to deliver an average of 98fps at 2560x1600. This meant that it was 51% faster than the GTX 780 Ti, while it was also 10% faster than a pair of GTX 780 SLI cards. Moreover, compared to a single R9 290X, the R9 295X2 was 80% faster while also beating the dual-GPU HD 7990 by a 33% margin.
Frame time performance is spot on for the R9 295X2 at just 18ms between frames at 2560x1600, making it the fastest graphics card tested.
The R9 295X2 puts forth one of its best efforts yet, delivering a solid 75fps at 2560x1600 in Metro: Last Light, 24% faster than the GTX 780 SLI combo and 44% faster than the GTX 780 Ti. Meanwhile it was just 59% faster than a single R9 290X, but 42% faster than the HD 7990.
Frame time performance was also exceptional taking just 18.9ms between frames compared to the 27.1ms it took the R9 290X.
