Modern Warfare 3 and its aging game engine didn’t provide much of a challenge for the HD 7970, even at 2560x1600 where the card averaged 77fps. Every product we tested provided playable frame rates, but AMD’s latest card still landed 35% and 18% ahead of the HD 6970 and GTX 580.
