The A10-5800K rendered 67fps in HandBrake, a 4% lead over the Phenom II X4 980, 7% over the A8-3850, and 9% over the Core i3-3220.
Despite a 31% increase in clock frequency, the A10-5800K was just 5% faster than the A8-3850 with an average of 70.1fps. It was also 2% faster than the Core i3-3220 and 8% slower than the Phenom II X4 980, suggesting that this test makes use of L3 cache.
Surprisingly, despite its massive clock speed advantage, the A10-5800K was less than 1% faster than the A8-3850. Additionally, it was 3% faster than the Core i3-3220 and 12% slower than the Phenom II X4 980, again suggesting that the missing L3 cache would have helped here.
