Despite the various improvements it’s undergone, the Intel HD 4000 graphics solution is still very underwhelming for gaming purposes. The Core i7-2600K couldn’t be used for direct comparison in 3Dmark 11 as that requires DirectX 11. With a score of 1486pts the Core i7-3770K was almost 20% slower than the AMD A8-3850, and 23% slower than a GeForce GT 430 graphics card (currently a $50 affair). The Core i7-3770K provided a 77% performance increase at 1280x800 in Splinter Cell Conviction when compared to the i7-2600K....

The LG G4’s best feature is easily its camera. The combination of a 16-megapixel optically stabilized sensor with an f/1.8 lens and competent software results in some truly awesome photos in a wide variety of conditions. With the G4’s superb shooter in your pocket there is no reason to carry around a point-and-shoot, and in many circumstances it does the job of a much more bulky DSLR. I was generally impressed with the G4’s performance, and I believe LG made the right choice by opting for Snapdragon 808 over the hotter and less power friendly Snapdragon 810....

In short, my mouse doesn’t need to double as a nightlight, have more buttons than a BlackBerry or move across multiple monitors in the diameter of a dime. Ideally, it’s comfortable, wireless with a long battery life, competent across many surfaces and has a quality scroll wheel alongside basic buttons such as back and forward. That describes the MX Performance and I’ve yet to see worthy replacement since its arrival....

The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has thrown a monkey wrench into Microsoft’s plan to acquire Activision. According to a scheduling order filed last week, the FTC’s antitrust lawsuit hearing against the deal will not begin until August 2. This date is well past the contracted deadline of July 18, 2023, effectively triggering a breach in the agreement. The two DDR4-2133 modules we installed in the MSI Cubi 2 Plus allowed for a memory bandwidth of 24.6GB/s when combined with the Core i3-6100T processor. This is similar to the Haswell G3220 and i3-4130 parts using slightly higher clocked DDR3 memory. The Core i3-6100T processor of the Cubi 2 Plus delivered much weaker L1 cache performance compared to the previous generation Core i3-4130. Perhaps this in part can be attributed to the slight drop in operating frequency....
