The GTX 960 matched the R9 285 at 1920x1200 though it was 13% slower at the higher 2560x1600 resolution. The GTX 960 was also 3% slower than the R9 280X, but 6% faster than the R9 280. Inside the Envy x360 is a 53 Wh battery, which is a typical size for a 13-inch ultraportable and delivers decent battery life. You aren’t going to get blown away by what this system offers - systems with larger batteries like the LG Gram and Dell XPS 13 still outperform the Envy x360 in our tests - but for a laptop with a more powerful APU and a touchscreen, I’m happy with the battery results....
While many of the One M8’s software features have made the jump to the Desire 816, including BlinkFeed and the pleasantly-skinned standard applications, some haven’t made the cut for hardware reasons. Many key areas of Sense are essentially stock Android. The notification pane, settings screen, and several stock apps are either directly from Google, or only minor modifications on what Google provides in the vanilla experience. The launcher is pretty similar too, aside from the app drawer, which uses HTC’s Sense style. Sense actually looks quite good these days from a design perspective. EMUI still comes with heaps of annoying and pointless duplicate apps. There is no need for two email clients, two gallery apps, and two music apps on this phone. It just bogs down the phone with crap and forces you to choose an app through irritating pop-ups. Duplicate apps still aren’t a good experience on Android and it’s something OEMs need to address. Industry sources told The Korea Economic Daily that Hyundai closed its combustion engine development and R&D centers. The South Korean company will no longer develop new gas-powered vehicles but will reserve a few engineers to modify existing ones. Hyundai will move powertrain engineers to an electrification design center, while powertrain performance engineers will now work on EV enhancements.
